I hope you will be able to join us at Andiamo’s on Friday, April 20, 2012 for our Fertility Conference on “Updated Trends in Fertility Care.” Registration is up, cost is reasonable and there will be lunch, chair massages as well as raffles throughout the day! It will be a fun and rewarding day.
In our last blog, we promised more information. This week, let’s talk about Stress & Fertility. Everyday I hear, “Doctor how does stress affect fertility?” While concise data is still not out, we do know that stress from infertility ranks up there with a cancer or HIV diagnosis. Stress, to some degree, can possibly affect your ability to conceive, not to mention how it also may affect your relationships. Addressing stress and introducing stress management techniques is just as important as addressing the fertility condition itself. That is why individuals like Claire Maurer, MA, LLPC, and Dr. Rhonda Sousley from in Harmony are very important in optimizing fertility success. Through such services as counseling, which teaches stress management techniques to the positive effects of relaxation through acupuncture great strides can be made. Both Claire and Dr. Sousley will provide valuable information on how these tools can not only improve pregnancy success, but also decrease stress throughout this journey and later in life.
Please check back next week for more information on our upcoming fertility conference. It is only 18 days from now.
